HELPING CORPORATIONS NURTURE RESPONSIBLE LEADERS
The CENTER FOR CREATIVE THINKING has been set up with one single purpose - to identify leadership talent in organizations, nurture that talent, create institutions where people find work enriching in every manner, and give of their best. CCT's overreaching goal is to develop leaders who leverage intellectual capital such that everyone wins - customers, employees, communities, and suppliers.
The situation facing corporations and countries today is no different from that faced at the advent of the industrial age - no road maps, where past experience has limited value. Many of the capabilities required to create wealth in the twenty-first century will be very different from the capabilities of previous decades. This will involve unlearning as well as learning.
As Tom Friedman put it, we live in a flat world. People in every corner of the world have access to information. As a result, information by itself is no longer a game changer. What we do with the information, once we have it, is likely to distinguish the winners from the losers. The talent pools of organizations today are made up more and more of people from all over the world. Leaders therefore need to understand different cultures, accept styles and methods alien to them, take comfort in discomfort, and bind disparate people together. This requires that leadership be built around matters of the head as well as the heart.
Navigating through such turbulent waters requires a new kind of leadership. CCT aims to help corporations discover what these new capabilities are, and then develop those capabilities. CCT strives to help its customers understand these cataclysmic changes, and succeed under new circumstances. The overreaching aim is to create fabulous institutions, no matter how large or small they may be.
CCT's work focuses on leadership, corporate culture, and customer focus.
